Kuanza Nature Experience

We loved every minute here. The location is stunning, and the flats and houses are furnished beautifully. The whole team was helpful and always around, especially Beto. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Getting there takes some effort: from the parking lot it’s a 2 km quad-bike ride or hike, so bring groceries with you. Once you arrive, you won’t want to leave. The houses have everything needed for a private night in, while shared wood-fired grills, fire pits, pools, and a sauna give the place a community feel. The owners, Nuno and Susan, and the staff encourage that welcoming atmosphere. The Kuanza team has designed the space beautifully and thoughtfully, in a stunning remote setting. The sun sets where the island meets the ocean, the stars are brilliant, and fresh-baked bread arrives every morning.

A fantastic experience in one of the best places in the world. It’s all nature here, with no cars, plus waterfalls and mountains. The internet was very good and fast.

Beto picked us and our luggage up in Cubres by quad, and was so helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. We were lucky enough to get the house right by the ocean. Waking to the waves and having breakfast with a sea view felt priceless. We spent four nights here and would gladly have stayed another four. It’s a little piece of heaven. The walk from the nearest village you can reach by car or scooter takes about 25-30 minutes. It starts with a steep climb, then gets gentler, with amazing views. If you want a comfortable, peaceful, elegant escape surrounded by breathtaking nature, this is the place. Fresh hot bread is left right by your door every morning.
