My favorite place to stay in the Azores. It was comfortable, clean, and quiet except for the birdsong, with lovely surroundings and great views. The host was helpful and quick to respond.

The kids had lots of safe, open space to play, with no cars to worry about, and the thoughtful details around the house were well maintained. Our host was kind, easy to reach, and left little treats that made the kids smile as soon as we arrived. We had ocean sunsets, a privileged view of the mountain and vineyards, and a real sense of peace. The house had everything we needed for a restful few days. It was the sort of stay that makes you imagine living there. We left feeling recharged and already wishing we could return for good.

The area around the house is beautiful, with a clear view of PICO mountain and the ocean. Inside, it was so comfortable it felt like home, with a comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom, and a washing machine that was easy to use. Silvia was amazing and always available to answer our questions. We can’t wait to go back!

Our three-day visit during the Bom Jesus festival in São Mateus was so convenient, and the house had all its usual comforts and amenities. Thanks, Silvia, for making this our second great stay at Vista Montanha. We’ll be back.

Enjoy the atmosphere here. At night, turn off all the lights and take in the stars. The house was clean and well maintained, and the barbecue was a real bonus.
