The shared kitchen was spotless and had everything we needed, including Dolce Gusto coffee with both black and milk options. There was fresh fruit too, and Room 01 had its own patio, a lovely spot for good weather. The dining area was charming, and everything felt thoughtfully laid out. I’m usually hesitant about hostels because of shared spaces and cleanliness, but this place exceeded my expectations. The rooms and halls smelled fresh, the lawn was neatly cut, and the surroundings were lovely. We met the owner in the parking lot, and they were incredibly friendly. BOOK NOW! I highly recommend this place, a wonderful spot on Pico.

We were just passing through on our way to catch a ferry to Sao Jorge and needed somewhere simple, safe, and clean for one night. We didn’t expect much, but the place really impressed us. Our room was huge, modern, and very clean. There’s a kitchen guests can use, with nice plates, cups, and utensils, plus free fruit and cooking condiments if you need them. The location was great, and Alexandra, the owner, was welcoming and easy to talk to. She also let us stay a little longer since our ferry wasn’t until the afternoon. We highly recommend it.

After days spent exploring the beautiful Azores, swimming, and enjoying meals, it was great to come back somewhere peaceful to rest and recharge. Aires Hostel made a lovely base for our trip.

Such a beautiful hostel in a good spot on Pico. The owners are friendly and always willing to help. I’d recommend staying here on the island.
