Luisa is a lovely host who goes out of her way to make a stay memorable. The country house has charming decor, and the surrounding natural landscape is especially beautiful at sunset. A place I’d gladly return to and recommend.

The best part was Dona Luisa, who welcomed us with such care and made sure we felt at home. We stayed at Casa dos Edras for two nights and only wished we could have stayed longer. It’s a great place to unwind away from the bustle of big cities. The house is beautiful, with lovely decor in the shared spaces and very comfortable bedrooms. Breakfast was wonderful, with regional products and bread you’d want to keep eating. The drive from Carcavelos to Miranda do Douro is a long one, but I’d happily make it again as soon as I can. Thank you, Dona Luisa, for your warmth.
