The rooms were huge, more like a one-bedroom apartment, and the staff were lovely. It’s a great little boutique resort, with indoor and outdoor pools, a small gym and a steam room. The one letdown for me was the food at the on-site restaurant.

The spa pool could have been warmer. Otherwise, it was an extremely quiet and pleasant stay, just right for couples wanting some R&E. Breakfast was pretty good, too.

The rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated, and there’s clear care in the little things throughout this small design hotel. I especially liked the sculptures, paintings and well-kept garden. It has two pools, one outdoors with hot salt water and one indoors. Breakfast comes with the standard rate. There isn’t a huge selection, but the quality is good. It’s a lovely place to get away from stress and relax in a kind of little paradise. I’d definitely recommend it.

I don’t usually write detailed reviews, but this stay made me want to. We were there for five nights and would gladly have stayed longer. Everything felt luxurious, while still being comfortable and homey. The place is spacious, quiet and very relaxed, and all the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. The apartment and shared spaces have modern, trendy design, but it’s tasteful rather than clinical. The artwork and furnishings seem carefully chosen. We had a suite with a hob, dishwasher and a large fridge with freezer, as well as the usual room facilities. The super king bed had some of the crispest, comfiest linen I’ve slept in. The air conditioning was quiet and worked well, the lighting was just right, and there were smart TVs in both the living area and bedroom. Our room was spotless, as were the restaurant and breakfast building. It was serviced daily while we were at breakfast, so coming back to fresh sheets, emptied bins and an empty dishwasher was really nice. There’s a large outdoor swimming pool with a spa pool, plus a similarly sized indoor pool with a jacuzzi and Turkish bath. There’s also a gym and spa treatments, though we didn’t try either. We played a few games of pool on a well-maintained table and tried the mini golf, too. Breakfast had croissants, freshly baked bread, cheeses, cold meats, cereal, coffee from a machine, bacon, eggs, sausages and more, including Portuguese tarts. We ate once at the on-site restaurant and really enjoyed the meal. For dinner, I’d recommend heading to Guimaraes if you want a full choice of restaurants.
