Santa Justa 77 -Lisbon Luxury Apartments

We had an enjoyable stay and would recommend the place to friends. Marta was very helpful, including arranging our airport rides, and my wife only wished there were hooks on the back of the bathroom door. From inside, we barely heard the busy street; stepping outside made us realize how much noise the walls and windows had kept out. Noise did travel between floors, though. We could sometimes hear people walking above us, but it didn't disturb us much. The renovated apartments are clean and modern, with high ceilings, wooden floors, and a look that matches the photos. Ours had an entryway, a spacious bedroom and bathroom, and a large main room with a kitchen, dining area, wardrobe, and sofa bed facing a TV. The air conditioning worked very well. We kept our bedroom at 23 degrees, while our niece preferred the sofa-bed room at a chilly 19.

For a first visit to Lisbon, the location is very central, and the apartments are lovely and well equipped for the price. The hosts were friendly and helpful. A tip from our stay: walk a few blocks before choosing where to eat. The restaurants right around the apartment felt like tourist traps, and the food wasn't great. We found that going farther afield made a big difference for more authentic Portuguese food and service. The apartment was well worth what we paid, and we'd definitely recommend it.

Our first two days of a five-stop European trip were in Lisbon, and this apartment was a great place to stay. It was spotless and very comfortable for our family of five. The staff were helpful and accommodating, and the location in Baixa made it easy to spend those days exploring the city. We highly recommend it.

Horrible experience. I booked through Booking.com on July 8 for one night on July 31 and paid by credit card for that stay. Then my card was charged again, for 350 euro on November 21, 245 euro on November 24, 290 euro on November 27, and 50 euro on December 3. I don't understand how they could use my card details to take these amounts. I've opened a case with my bank, and they will investigate.
