Jardins de São Luís

We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom on the ground floor. It had wheelchair access, and we slept well in the comfortable, air-conditioned room. The property is near a busy road, but we didn’t hear traffic. The hostel has a garden setting on the outskirts of town, a nice pool, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and tables. We used the small kitchen, which has four microwaves, to make a simple dinner and breakfast. There’s biker parking around the back. No washing machine or laundry facilities, but a very good laundromat is about a 10-minute walk down the road. It’s next to a large supermarket, so you can shop while waiting for your laundry.

My plans changed unexpectedly, so I didn't end up spending the night here. Even my brief visit to Jardins de São Luís left a lovely impression, though. The owners and staff were so welcoming. That's real customer service, and I'd happily recommend the place.

The pool was a real treat on a hot day, and the kitchen had everything needed to cook if you want to make your own meals. The owners were really friendly, and the rooms, beds, and bathrooms were clean and very nice. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the town center, with a large supermarket roughly 10 minutes away on foot. Thanks for a nice stay!

I got a really good price for what I received, and the owners were there to help with anything, even things beyond the stay itself. They’re genuinely good people. As someone working remotely, I found the place calm and relaxing for getting work done. Great place, great people. I'll come back next time I'm heading to the south of Portugal.
