Casa da Aldeia

The whole Casa had such a peaceful feel, and my room was cleaned every day. Pedro and his family made me feel very welcome, and Pedro was wonderful with his hospitality and help. The old building has been updated beautifully, including a very quiet air conditioner in the room. This hidden gem went well beyond what I expected.

The owner, Pedro, is such a kind and lovely person. With the quiet, spring water, pool, rooms, surroundings, and hospitality, staying here felt like being in paradise. If you want a peaceful rest, this is the place.

The breakfast room was impressive, and we enjoyed swimming, relaxing, and playing table tennis around the grounds of Casa de Aldeia. Pedro also gave us really helpful ideas for exploring the beautiful mountains, cascades, and trees nearby. We had an amazing stay at Casa de Aldeia. Thank you, Pedro and Rosa. We'll be back!

The kids had a great time with the pool, even if the water was a touch cold in March, and the games room. Our adjoining rooms in the converted adega were warm and comfortable, with well appointed en-suite bathrooms. This traditional stone house dates back to the 15th century and is still home to the same family. Pedro, the owner, kindly shared fascinating details about its history and architecture. Breakfast included local pastries and rolls, fruit salads, cheese, meats, and fresh orange juice from the garden trees. The service was thoughtful and kind. We really enjoyed our family weekend and would happily return. Highly recommended.
