Silves History Guest House

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and gave us some great dinner suggestions. It’s also very close to the castle and museum. Our room was on the small side, but it opened onto a lovely garden, with lots of places to sit outdoors or in the shared living room. A nice place to stay in Silves.

Silves is a town I’d recommend staying in, instead of touristy spots like Albufeiro or Portimão. The garden and pool here are a dream, and breakfast has everything you could want. Daniel, the host, was very nice and helpful. This was the best hotel we stayed at along the Algarve, definitely recommend it!

A calm, quiet place, though Silves Castle and the city center are only a few minutes away on foot. This modern boutique hotel has a pool in the backyard. I really liked the decor, especially the clean lines, warm wood details, and the gorgeous carved headboard.

The pool area with the fortress wall behind it is amazing, and the decor is lovely. This is a quiet spot with friendly staff, well suited to a little retreat. We arrived late but self check-in was easy, and we found free overnight parking nearby without trouble. The hotel is new and sits right next to the castle in a small town. Our loft-style room had the bedroom upstairs and the A/C downstairs, so it got a bit warm above. They provided a fan, which made it alright. A mini fridge would have been nice, though. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
