Vila Sodré Guest House

We only had one night here because of our itinerary, but we'd love to come back. It's a wonderful family run guesthouse, full of character and with a fantastic Port cellar. The welcome was friendly, and breakfast was a big Portuguese spread of bread, cheese, meats, homemade jams, plenty of fruit, and the best coffee in Portugal. The room was practical and spotless, with a roomy, comfortable bed, strong hot shower, air conditioning, and a little balcony with two chairs and a table. It looks out over the countryside. There's a good sized pool too, though we didn't have time for a swim. When the weather's nice, you can eat or relax in the orange orchard. With so little light pollution, the stars are bright at night. The bus stops right outside, and Bolt and Uber are available as well. The Moorish castle is about 1km away, an easy walk on level ground. Muito obrigado!

A peaceful little B&B with lovely scenery and a family run feel. Breakfast was made with care. It's a real hidden gem if you'd rather skip the busy beach strip while staying just 15 minutes from beautiful beaches.

The owners welcomed us warmly and were both kind and accommodating. We had a nice room facing the terrace, where we slept peacefully. They even let us park our motorcycle off the street. We were usually out and about, so didn't get time to use the pool. We did enjoy the lovely breakfasts and the changing scenery. Thanks for everything, we'll be back :)

We keep coming back whenever we're planning a holiday in the Algarve, and the service is always top level. The people are welcoming, the rooms are very clean, and the garden is beautiful, with lots of orange trees. The kids loved it, especially the big, clean pool and the huge terrace. Breakfast is amazing, and the place is close to the town centre, shops, bars, and restaurants. This will always be our place to stay when we holiday in Portugal. Highly recommended!
