The shared kitchen and bathroom were always clean, and my room was great. I only wish there had been hooks in the bedroom for hanging towels. Getting around was easy, with the train station and main buses, including the 434 and 435, very close by. I stayed three nights at Villas de Cintra in January as a solo traveller, and the remote check-in was simple. They sent a clear email with photos and all the access details. The receptionist was lovely and very responsive on Whatsapp, and warm in person when she was at the desk. She was patient with my questions about arriving and checking out. Even with the remote setup, the hospitality really stood out. The central location was great, and the restaurant and monument suggestions were amazing. I had a fabulous stay. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Sintra. Thank you for having me!

The garden was a lovely place to relax after a busy day out, and our room was spacious and clean, with fresh linens and a charming balcony. We really enjoyed our visit to Sintra in the first week of October. The spot felt peaceful and tucked away, while gift shops and great restaurants were only steps away. Tuk-tuk tours were just around the corner too. I wouldn’t recommend driving. The road is very narrow and steep. Getting there is manageable, but leaving means a tight U-turn and an uphill drive. We were glad we chose to explore Sintra on foot and use tuk-tuks 🛺.

The location near the center was good, and the room itself was clean. I knew I had booked a room with a shared bathroom, which already made the stay feel a bit off. There wasn’t any nearby parking, and stopping to unload bags was quite difficult. I also had to carry them up the stairs, so bring a light bag if you can.

There’s no reception open around the clock, but they reply to emails really quickly. The location is ideal if you’re arriving by train, just a short walk from the station.

Right in the heart of Sintra, with lovely rooms and great communication. Everything else was great, though hauling a suitcase up the stairs was a challenge.
