Mario and Joao at reception were especially kind and helpful throughout our stay. When we had an electricity problem on the first day, the hotel dealt with it straight away and offered us three solutions. The room was clean and spacious, breakfast was delicious, and the pool was lovely. It was also remarkably quiet despite being by a main road. The hotel is a little way from central Tavira, but we were happy to walk. When we didn’t feel like it, Ubers arrived quickly and cost between 2 and 4 euros. We were surprised to learn it’s rated one star, because it deserves at least three or four. The perfect place to stay in Tavira, and we hope to return soon.

Breakfast was a real plus, with homemade baked goods, traditional Portuguese deli items, and fresh fruit. The staff were friendly and the room was very clean. The attached restaurant, open Tuesday through Saturday, looked popular with locals, though we didn’t get to try it. During Halloween and All Saints’ Day on November 1, there was live entertainment and it stayed very noisy until about 11 pm. Friends who had stayed before recommended the hotel. We spent a week in the Tavira area. Being right by the N125 is convenient, but road noise does come through during your stay. I’d definitely recommend the hotel, and I’m not sure why it only has one star.

The helpful, friendly service stood out, along with the good breakfast, large pool, spacious balcony, and bathroom amenities. Though listed as one star, it felt like more. It’s a little outside town, so having a car made things easier. We could enjoy quiet nights and still be near Tavira’s beautiful, lively restaurants and bars.

The rooms were large and very clean, the breakfast was tasty and made with fresh products, and the staff were kind, polite, and helpful with lots of information about the area. The hotel is easy to find and close to the main roads. The city’s main attractions are about a 10-15 minute walk away, or you can drive.
