We had a very pleasant stay in Tavira. The apartment is fairly new, nicely laid out, and set in a former convent that was rebuilt and renovated about 12 years ago. It's quiet and secure behind closed gates, with three pools, one of them for children. The center is easy to reach on foot, and there's parking on site, though we also found street parking without much trouble. Tavira is touristy, of course, but still a very pleasant town. A ferry goes to the beach on an island just off the coast. Flattered in Tavira apartments checked whether they could help with anything, and their representative Olga was great. There are a few things that could be better: the apartment needs some repairs, with traces of an earlier leak. For children it might be a little dull since there isn't a playground, though there are pools, and there are no fences around the pool area. A mosquito screen in the bedroom would also be welcome.

This is a distinctive place to stay in a carefully converted old monastery, with salt flats in view and a peaceful atmosphere. There are two pools and plenty of facilities, and it's a short walk to the river and town center. Secure parking is available on site. The apartments are roomy, well equipped, and nicely converted, with air conditioning, a dishwasher, washing machine, plenty of linen and crockery. The care team were friendly and attentive, and nothing seemed too much trouble. We even received a generous welcome pack.

Set in a historic building, these apartments are modern inside, spotless, and thoughtfully furnished. They’re attractive, well planned, and very well equipped.
