Casa de Viana do Alentejo

We came here for work, far from home and without a place to stay, and the way we were treated was upsetting. The person in charge showed no respect toward us, two women, and still expected payment for an awful lodging experience. We were put in a house full of mold, so bad for breathing that even our clothes smelled of it. When we asked whether he knew of somewhere else, he spoke badly about a couple he sends guests to. I’m left wondering what his intention was with us, knowing our situation. The places mentioned were Casa de Viana and Casa do Pátio. From my experience, renting this place by the day seems like simple opportunism. I’ll be leaving very poor feedback.

The location made it easy to explore Viana do Alentejo on foot, without needing the car. It’s a comfortable place to stay, and works perfectly for groups.

The terrace is spacious, and the quiet there feels like being in paradise. This is a lovely old house, well cared for, with period furniture and materials that suit its architecture. It’s comfortable and elegant, spotlessly clean, and the owners are very kind and attentive. Excellent value for money, five stars. I recommend it.

Isabel was so kind and helpful that we felt at home right away. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was generous, with traditional products. It was a wonderful stay in a typical Portuguese house at the foot of the castle in Viana do Alentejo.
