The stone cottage has lovely period character, and the grounds are kept in good shape. There’s a stone-paved pool and a summer kitchen too. The bathrooms could use some updating, and you can hear the train from the back bedroom at the far end, but otherwise it’s a quiet, pleasant place. The beach is walkable, and amenities are a reasonable drive away. It works well for a big family or even two families looking for a Portuguese countryside escape.
