Villa Boutique

The cozy, clean, spacious room had a remarkably comfortable bed, a very clean bathroom, plenty of toiletries, and a nice view of the village. Staff were welcoming and accommodating from check-in, and the hotel is right in the heart of Vila De Rei, with the village hall and good restaurants nearby. Staying here puts just about everything within walking distance. I was traveling the N2 by road bicycle and called Villa boutique at the last minute. The owner was extremely friendly. The hotel has a restaurant, and it’s an excellent choice in many ways. The cobbled road to the entrance is narrow. Breakfast wasn’t included, which they said was because it was the season and they were understaffed. For what we paid, I think breakfast should have been included, and it’s so much nicer to eat at the hotel in the morning. My bicycle had to stay in the open parking bay because there didn’t seem to be a storage room or a room for bikes. With the garage door open, the area was easy to access, and I worried someone could steal it. They said the door would close at 10 p.m. and it was safe to leave the bike there, but when I checked at 11 p.m. it was still open. It was closed the next morning and my bicycle was still there. I wouldn’t call the hotel bike-friendly, since I’ve stayed in places where you can keep your bicycle in a dedicated room. Aside from that, I’d definitely choose this hotel again if I’m in the area.
