Rua de São Bento n.123

After six hours of walking, not being able to find the place quickly was frustrating, especially with nobody answering the phone. The building numbers point you to a small derelict building at no.123 with a collapsed roof, while the accommodation is actually across the street. The doors were shut and the n123 marking was tiny, etched in white on white. It would be good if they made it easier to spot. Once I got in, though, the stay turned out very well, and I’d stop here again without hesitation. I was here in April 2022 while doing the Portuguese Camino. The accommodation was excellent, right on the route in the centre of Vila do Condo. My room was big and clean, with a full kitchen and a large modern bathroom. The manager was warm and welcoming, and the heated towel rail was handy for drying some laundry.
