The sea-facing view is very good, and the pool facilities are nice. The rooms are spacious and reasonably well equipped. Wi-Fi was poor, sometimes nonexistent. For a short self-catering break, little basics like oil, salt, and pepper would have helped.

I spent two weeks here and found the location hard to beat, right by the Atlantic and a beautiful river, with lovely sand on the beach. The room was minimal but had what I needed, including cooking supplies, and the bed was clean and very comfortable. The doors and other fixtures felt modern and well maintained. Housekeeping cleaned thoroughly every three days. Wi-Fi only worked on the ground floor, and mobile reception in the rooms could be tricky, but neither bothered me much since I wasn’t in the room often. I’d happily recommend it for a stay in such a beautiful setting.

The location was great, but our five-night stay as a family of four had a few hassles. We knew the apartment wouldn’t have Wi-Fi for the kids, though that became difficult during the hottest part of the day. We also had to sweep the floor ourselves every day, and the linens and towels weren’t changed at all.

We could walk to pretty much everything from the apartment, which worked well in a small place like Vila Nova dr Milfontes. Our family had a great stay: the apartment was spacious and well equipped for a longer visit, with underground parking and an assigned space. Online check-in was easy and smooth, and we liked the balcony view. A loud group on the first floor made the sound carry and disturbed our evening downtime out there. Also, there were no wine glasses, which was a small letdown.
