Quinta do Canal

The room was fantastic, with gorgeous Arabic design, spotless throughout, and a very comfortable mattress. The bathroom was great too, with a heated shower. We had a private terrace with quirky Arabic chairs and mosaic tables. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were extremely friendly. There’s plenty of parking, a car charger, and a place to charge an e-bike. We’ll bring ours next time, since you can ride straight into the dunes and on to nearby beaches. The property is beautiful, with a jacuzzi, swimming pool, and a big garden. It’s great for a longer stay and for nature lovers, close to the harbor and right on the Rota Vicentina. You can walk for hours through the dunes. We took a short walk to a cliff for sunset, brought a glass of wine, and just sat there. Pure bliss. At night, the lighting and terraces make the place feel like a fairytale. We’ll definitely be back!

The breakfast was a lovely way to start the day, with fresh orange juice, homemade cake and yogurt, fruit, cold cuts, cheeses, toast, eggs, legumes, mushrooms, and plenty more. The woman serving it was lovely. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Our room was number 3, with a comfortable bed, quality linens, two bathrobes, a large bathroom, Smart TV, complimentary coffee and tea, and a terrace with table and chairs. The heating and cooling air conditioning was a great feature. Everything was impeccably clean, and the cleaning lady was very kind. We stopped in town on our way north and chose this place based on its reviews. The staff were attentive and friendly, always ready to help. There are several parking areas, including one with an electric vehicle charging station. We went in mid-January, so it was too cold for us to use the pool and jacuzzi, though they must be great in summer. The price felt fair for what was offered. I’d definitely stay again if I were nearby, and felt very comfortable here.

After a day cycling in the nearby countryside, I could unwind in the jacuzzi or pool. It’s a great setup when you’re traveling alone and want things taken care of. Quinta do Canal also has charging points for my electric car and electric mountain bike. The staff are really friendly, and breakfast was fantastic.
