The view is lovely, and the calm, quaint feel of Vila Nova de Poiares makes it easy to slow down and relax.

There’s plenty here for a restful stay: a heated indoor pool, sauna and steam room, massage treatments, and gardens to relax in. The place is run very professionally, with secure private off-road parking behind a gate and wheelchair access. Rooms all have en-suite bathrooms, and there’s a well-stocked library with books in English, Portuguese and French. You can cook for yourself, and the indoor BBQ area works in both winter and summer. A really relaxing spa setup.

Silvia gave us such a warm welcome, she’s a wonderful person. The place itself feels simple and authentic, and it’s great for relaxing with friends or family. Definitely worth a visit!

Back for my second visit and it’s still so cozy and warm. Lovely setting, and the host is the best.

I came to visit the village and didn't stay, since I was planning to fly there. I was disappointed to find it dirty and not flying in new Sale. It would be good to have a Pousada like this place in the future.
