Paolo, who owns and runs the hotel, is knowledgeable and incredibly accommodating. We stayed several nights with our kids and all loved it. The hotel is beautifully decorated in an old converted post office (CTT), right above the new CTT building, and every detail, from the sheets and towels to the kitchen, feels carefully designed. There's plenty to look at throughout, which kept the kids entertained, and the gated courtyard gave them room to run. We also enjoyed a relaxed breakfast outdoors with the mountains as a backdrop. The location is great, with lots of restaurants in walking distance, and the Vila Real area has a cool vibe. For a tour, I highly recommend asking Paolo about City Nature.pt. It's a truly unique, personalized way to see gems of Douro, Vila Real, and Alvão. A great choice for adults or families.

All five of us loved it, and we'll certainly come back. The accommodation was really good, we slept well, and breakfast was lovely, especially the homemade cake. The host was incredible, such a nice person. He showed us around the city and joined us for a hike, explaining the history of the valleys. Thank you so much, Mr. Paulo. We arrived as guests and left as friends.

The staff made sure I had a relaxing stay and arranged my late checkout with a smile. The on-floor kitchen was a great extra, with a coffee machine and breakfast items including croissants, yogurt, cheese, and delicious pastel de nata. My room felt brand new and spacious, with high ceilings, huge windows that opened for the morning breeze, a comfortable bed, and a shower with excellent pressure. The hotel exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it.

I'm glad I chose this place. It's cozy, clean, warm, accessible, and in a great location. I'll definitely recommend staying here to my friends. 🙌🏼
