The front desk staff were the bright spot in a very difficult two weeks for me. My husband was in the hospital, and I didn’t know how long I’d need to stay. They were flexible, kind, and caring, checked on him without intruding, and patiently accommodated my inability to speak Portuguese. I’m very grateful. The hotel itself is charming and central, a little older but well kept and exceptionally clean. My room was large and well appointed, and breakfast each day was good and plentiful.

The room had an amazing view across the Rio Corgo valley and river. The hotel sits near the city center, right at the edge of the valley. There’s plenty of parking, breakfast has lots of choices, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

One of the best places I’ve stayed. The food is amazing and well priced, the location is central, and there’s a riverside trail nearby. Everything was impeccably clean, with quality furniture and fittings that are very well maintained. Service was five stars. There’s no iron, but laundry service is available for a few hours a day. There’s also a parrot that loves to talk and have people around, though it may get shy when there are too many.

December 2024. The location is perfect, close to all the interesting spots in Vila Real. My room had a beautiful balcony view, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was okay.

We had a clean, cosy room and a fantastic view over the Corgo river and the beautiful scenery. The hotel is right in the city center and has free parking. Breakfast and Restaurante were great, with plenty to eat and a fantastic view. The staff were always helpful.
