The gardens, pool, and bar are lovely, and the colonial building is beautiful, well cared for, and well run. Our twin room was basic but spacious. The neighborhood felt a little rough, though we had no trouble getting Ubers and they were very cheap. The mattresses and pillows weren't comfortable, and the gym was very poor despite the large pool and great clay tennis court with lighting. I'd still stay here again.

The dining room is a relaxed spot to get away from the heat and bustle of the Paraguayan capital. This is a genuine historic hotel, established over a hundred years ago, and the staff are very friendly.

The stay was generally very good, especially by Paraguayan standards. Getting service at the pool could be a little hard at times, and waiters sometimes forgot orders.
