From the hostel you can walk easily to pretty much everything, including the bus station, a big supermarket, the municipal market, the river, and the international bridge for buses and trains to and from Argentina. The place is clean and dependable, and the people running it are great. A very good hostel in Encarnación.

After booking another place in town the night before and regretting it, Casa de Pedro felt like a breath of cool air. It’s clean, comfortable, lovely, and friendly, with nice spots to relax when you’re not out exploring. There’s a good kitchen, a fridge, a back patio, and a private balcony out front. Great value too, since not every place in Encarnacion is this nice.

A backpacker could ask for everything here: a great hostel, big shared spaces, a kitchen with all the equipment and plenty of spices, plus lots of hot water.

I had a comfortable, very quiet stay. The kitchen is fully equipped and has spices to use, and everything you need around town is close by.

The rooms are cozy and clean, and the people are nice. There’s also a playful little kitten. The Wi-Fi wasn’t great for work or watching videos, though.
