Akasiya Hotel

The room was nice, and the male receptionist was friendly, so check-in went smoothly. But although I’d paid for breakfast, I was asked to pay separately for the water already on the table. Breakfast was mostly Indian food and quite spicy. Even the sugar and coffee came in cups, which seemed unusual for a hotel at this price. Parking was difficult with the area so crowded. I requested an extra blanket for two days to get it. The fire alarm also went off several times, which was disruptive and raised safety concerns. At 500 during high season, the price felt very expensive for the service and experience. I hope the hotel addresses these issues.

The Tunisian receptionist was so kind and warm, always wearing a smile, and really made the experience brighter. I’d happily come back and recommend the hotel to anyone looking for quality and care. The rooms were clean, the facilities were good, and everything was thoughtfully arranged. I found the stay comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable, with great service.

The rooms are decent and spacious, but the staff’s behavior made my three-day stay extremely poor. At check-in around noon on the first day, reception couldn’t find my prepaid Booking.com reservation and argued rudely, asking why I hadn’t told them earlier even though it was confirmed. They also demanded an extra 50 QAR without properly explaining why. The evening reception and security made interactions feel like interrogations instead of help. Parking security was rude and unhelpful too. Room service stops after 6 PM, which I could understand, but they still refused when I asked for just two towels and a bottle of water instead of a full clean. A good room isn’t enough if guests are treated this way. Hotel Akasiya failed badly on service and hospitality. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless staff attitude and guest support improve seriously.

I’ve stayed at Akasiya three times and have always been satisfied. The rooms are spacious and cleaned, with bright, new toilets, and the service from security, helpers, and reception feels wholehearted. It’s my favorite hotel in Doha so far for the price and service. The one downside is the short fire alarm that seems to happen almost every day of my stay. Still, I’d come back and recommend the place.
