The rooms are nicely maintained, and room service was quite good. I arrived a little early for the second time, and receptionist Ananya kindly let me have the room right then. I’ll definitely book this place again on my next visit.

We were upgraded from a standard room to a full suite for free, and had a pretty great stay. It was spacious, with very comfortable beds. The room was clean, the bed spotless, and the bathroom okay. The carpet had lots of stains, though that seemed like regular use. It’s a good option for the price, especially for an overnight stay near the airport. The hotel isn’t new or luxurious, and the main old market is about a 15-minute walk away.

The staff were friendly, and I appreciated being offered water at reception, getting a late check-in at 1 a.m., and being allowed to check out at 2 p.m. The room matched the pictures. I stayed just one night, and the overall experience wasn’t great. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow and unreliable, even though I’d been told it was fast. The TV had very few channels and, surprisingly, no Al Jazeera. The carpet was very dirty and poorly maintained. My window faced a Haraj market, where cars, people, and banging sounds made noise constantly from 1 a.m. until morning. With almost no sound insulation, I couldn’t sleep properly. The bed was stiff, and the bathroom towels smelled bad and looked old and worn. I don’t think I’ll return. I hope management takes the feedback seriously and fixes these issues for future guests.

The team at Al Aseel Hotel made my first trip to Doha feel safe and welcoming. As a solo female American traveler, I appreciated how kindly they reassured me about the neighborhood and the safety of Doha. Gangadhar, Hnin, Ananya, Akilesh, and Tika were the highlights. Tika took my luggage to the room, and Gangadhar walked me across the street and explained how to get to the Metro. When I had a very late 1 AM flight, Hnin and Gangadhar generously arranged extended late checkout. I stayed in Standard Room 701, a spacious top-floor corner room that felt much larger than places I’ve stayed in Europe. The bed was firm and comfortable, a big help with my chronic back pain. Even with a nightclub below, it was reasonably quiet for a light sleeper. The AC worked. There was a safe, mini-fridge, kettle, complimentary water, and lots of quality toiletries, including plush slippers. Housekeeping was attentive, and the front desk handled my Talabat delivery courteously. The location is central, with quick access to the Corniche, Souq Waqif, and Metro-serviced areas. Al Doha Al Jadeda Metro Station is a 5-10 minute walk, or a quick ~5 QAR ride if you want to avoid the heat. Nearby are plenty of appealing, pocketbook-friendly Asian, Indian, and African restaurants, as well as fine dining options. Some details were less polished. The room carpeting looked worn, the sauna was under maintenance during my visit, and room service options may be limited, so check the current menu and prices. Those points didn’t overshadow the comfort or the wonderful service.
