Saraya Palace Hotel by ACRON GROUP HOTEL MANAGEMENT

I'm stuck in Doha because of the war, and they're charging me for the hotel even though Qatar Airways is taking payment for the stay. They don't seem to understand that I'm waiting for the cancellation papers or email from Qatar Airways. The service has been terrible. They only care about the money and haven't even tried to help.

Worst experience. The room was small, with hardly any space, old furnishings, and dirty carpets, and there was no cleaning. The front desk staff were rude, especially one woman. I asked for room service and nobody came, so the food waste stayed in my room for a whole day. Breakfast felt like a scam. The worst hotel in Qatar, I wouldn't book here.

I got four hours of quiet sleep during my layover in a comfortable, clean room. The only problem was the shower, which flooded the whole bathroom. The Indian man at the front desk when I arrived at 1 a.m. was so welcoming and kind. I can't remember his name, but we had a long chat about cricket, and he made sure the six hours I spent at the hotel were comfortable.

We never checked in or received any service, but after we followed up in person the next day, the hotel deducted the amount from our account before the regular check-in time. We had booked the day before, with payment at the property, and asked about early check-in because we'd arrive very early. There was no reply for hours. We then asked to cancel for free so we could book somewhere more responsive, but heard nothing again. We called, but the hotel's landline had a technical problem, so without confirmation we booked another hotel. When we went by in person the next day, we weren't welcomed. We were told nobody could respond to messages until the manager arrived after 9:30 a.m. We contacted the hotel again, but the response was unprofessional. The poor communication and customer service mean I can't recommend this hotel.
