PALM Hotel & Spa

The rooms are lovely and feel up to modern standards, and the food is delicious with fair prices. The staff are really friendly and attentive, too. The only thing that put me off was the number of birds at the breakfast buffet. Not very appetizing. 🙈 It’s a small, quiet place tucked away on a hill above Grande Anse beach. You can’t get directly to the beach from the hotel, but there are two great pools, one partly heated, with stunning views. I really like this hotel, and we’ll definitely be back! 😎

A relaxing spot with nice, very private rooms and a good spa. We had an issue with the AC, but the service was very good.

The location on the cliff and the views deserve five stars, and we liked the food at Kah. But quite a few other things seriously detracted from our stay. I’m mentioning them for future guests and in case management can make improvements. We couldn’t get a good night’s sleep without unplugging appliances. The refrigerator made noise, and so did the water dispenser, which also gave off light. There were possibly other noises in the room as well. The gym was dismal. On the first day of our five-day stay, I asked about a foam roller and was told someone would check, but nobody got back to me. With all the hikers the hotel and island attract, it seems like an essential item, and one they could buy at Decathlon for €10. I also saw loose screws on the main technogym equipment. The kids area was just as underwhelming. The fan in my room wasn’t working. I pointed it out the minute we entered, but it was never fixed. The outdoor jacuzzi has incredible views, but the water was tepid and not pleasant at all. When I raised it, someone suggested it might be a sustainability issue, which made no sense to me. Keep it properly hot during busy parts of the day or don’t have one. I tried the steam room instead, and the handle came right off the door. Shockingly shabby. At breakfast, if you leave food on your plate while going to the buffet, birds swarm in and peck at it. The laundry prices are extortionate.

The staff were the real highlight, very friendly and attentive. We stayed with family for six nights, and our room was great. Breakfast was very good, and we also enjoyed the restaurant. The hotel gardens are lovely and well kept. The location was OK. Highly recommended!
