Breakfast was very nice, with tasty hot and cold options. We stayed two nights in a beachfront room. It was spacious and very nice, though we could hear both the waves and the bathrooms in neighboring rooms, so the sound insulation could be better. The pool looks out over the water where kite-surfers gather, which gives you an idea of how windy it gets. The sun doesn't reach the pool area until late afternoon, so it's not ideal if you get cold easily.

The restaurant served a selection of local dishes, and the bar made nice cocktails. Staff were very friendly. It's a small, cosy hotel overlooking the sea, right in the central area of St Pierre. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

The restaurant was good in the evening, relaxed and with good service, and breakfast was good too. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and modern, with big, comfortable beds, and there's a nice pool with access to the beach. I'd stay here again if I visit the island.

We had a wonderful first trip to Reunion, and Le Battant was an excellent place to stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the sea view from room 224 was lovely. The hotel is well run, with very friendly staff and an innovative, excellent lady chef. Special thanks to Yannick, Jeremie and Airelia (if I've got the spelling wrong, we're Afrikaans speaking). The price was very fair, and I'd stay again. It's a good, solid hotel right on the beach, with no road in between. Everything was fine, just nothing especially special.
