Hôtel Exsel Créolia

There were plenty of spots to sit inside or outside, so it was easy to find somewhere quiet. The view was beautiful, the pool area was nice, and the gym was good. The room was cleaned really well every day, and the staff were friendly. Food was good, though a bit pricey. My one gripe was that breakfast didn't have any vegetables.

We had to switch rooms right after arriving because the first one smelled awful, like sewer. The pool wasn't heated, and there were only around 6-9 loungers beside it. It's a thematic place, and breakfast was good, though the pastries were usually dry.

The beautiful pool was so cold, about 25 degrees, that even with 30 degrees outside I couldn't stay in for long. The hotel is also far from everything, with no restaurants or supermarkets nearby. The shuttle to the airport and city center is handy, but it was always late and only ran from 9 to 5, which felt like a short window. The rooms are nice and the shower is great, but the Wi-Fi is terrible except in the lobby and on the terrace. Some staff were friendly and ready to help, while others seemed unfriendly and in a rush to get rid of you. It's not a bad place to stay, but I expected much more from Mercure.

The view was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself was below average. The rooms feel old and are overdue for some TLC. Parking was a struggle every time. Breakfast and the restaurant menu were average and could definitely be better. The shower was the smallest I've ever had to use!!! The gym was well equipped, but there were no towels provided 🙁
