The fresh air, comfortable beds, and healthy traditional food made this a real reset for me. There’s even a rustic open-air tub tucked behind the yard. If you need an escape or a break from burnout, this is exactly what you’re looking for. I was still thinking about the place months after the trip. Highly recommend it!

I loved spending time in the garden, watching all the birds and looking through the bell collection. The place has a lot of soul, and the stay came with good food too. Be sure to try the local cheeses and the sausages Cornel and the team make.

If you get the chance to take a tour with Cornel, he’s a great guide. This place supports local producers and slow tourism, and feels deeply connected to the community. It’s the most authentic spot in Bazna and beyond. A good base for trying the different spa experiences with Bazna’s mineral waters.

The meals were generous and freshly made, and my room was comfortable with clean bedding and a clean bathroom. Cornel was an enthusiastic, helpful host who was really engaged with his guests. The guesthouse is nicely decorated in a traditional Transylvanian Saxon style, with a narrow front and a long garden of vegetables and fruit behind it. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

I stopped for a night while cycling through the region and hope to come back soon. It’s a good place to explore Medias, Tarnava, Cetatea de Balta, and the small villages around Tarnava by bike. The people were friendly, the place was clean, and the food was delicious. There’s also a pool, a large garden, and plenty of spots to relax.
