It’s a lovely place away from the busy main strip, so it stays quiet. The rooms are basic, but there’s a shared kitchen downstairs where you can make tea or coffee. The owner is lovely and the beds are comfortable. We couldn’t really use the TV, though, since almost all the channels were in Romanian, which is what you’d expect.
The room was just right for our stay, and there’s a ping pong table in the garden. The property is close to the main street and the castle, but tucked away enough that we didn’t hear city noise. The man who welcomed us was extremely friendly, made sure we had everything, and even offered us a shot of homemade rakija/palinca. It was delicious. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
The pension is within walking distance of the center, restaurants and Bran castle. We were two couples, and the host gave us a very warm welcome. The rooms were clean and tidy, with a cute little balcony. There’s a fully equipped kitchen for cooking, plus a lovely big garden with seating and delicious apple trees. We ate the apples. Highly recommend!
The Google address is wrong, it’s on the other side of the castle. Still, this B&B is a gem. The owners are lovely and make you feel at home. The room was very clean, and you can also get a nice breakfast.
I’m a city person, so having food this fresh was an eye-opener for me. The landlord is a lovely older man who does everything he can to make you feel at home, with that fatherly warmth and Romanian hospitality. He makes breakfast with fresh ingredients, including milk squeezed from a cow and freshly harvested honey, and he also does your laundry. I loved the summer ambience and the sounds of insects, birds and livestock. Casa Vera is close to the castle but privately set on a slip road above a stream. It’s a beautiful place, and I’d definitely stay again.
