The room was cozy, just right for me, and the bed was comfortable. I liked the view of the church and the "first school" across the way. The front desk staff were especially friendly and helpful, and they kindly kept my luggage after checkout while I went on a castle tour. A few things made the stay frustrating. The curtains let in too much early morning light, so sleeping in was impossible; they need a heavier lining. There was no coffee pot or kettle in the room, and I couldn’t get hot water from the dining hall except at breakfast, so I had to ask the front desk repeatedly for tea water. My shower only had lukewarm water, and when I reported it, there was no apology or compensation, which felt like a serious shortcoming. The walls were thin too, and noisy neighbors kept me from falling asleep late at night. I’d recommend the hotel if they fix these issues.

After the long trip to Romania, I rested very well here. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the hotel was clean and tidy. It’s nicely located with a parking lot right next door. Breakfast was fairly standard but tasty, and the staff were polite and helpful. I’ll definitely stay here again.

This is my favorite hotel in Roumania. The breakfast is really good, the wifi is good, the place is clean, and the location and view are nice. It’s a 10 mins walk from center, and the staff are nice. I’d say it’s more than 3 star, though it’s only almost safe. There were some issues during my stay. The bedroom window in my apartment wouldn’t open in a child-safe way, though the living room window did, so at night I could only leave the toilet room window open for fresh air while keeping small children safe. The TV channel video signal wasn’t good, not everyone was using a mask, and the fridge was loud. On the last day the elevator broke, so I had to carry my staff 4 floors down. This isn’t the hotel’s fault, but when I arrived we got a Police warning on our phones that a bear was close to the hotel. We asked about it and were told it’s a regular thing, even in the center. At night it isn’t safe to walk around the hotel or from there to the city center because of bears. That’s becoming a real problem, especially for people who like nature and walking in the mountains or around the city.

The rooms are lovely, and the location makes it easy to reach the main sights on foot. From the train station, you can get there easily on bus 51. Breakfast has a good selection of hot and cold options. Fantastic stay, highly recommend it for tourists.
