Monterai Resort

We keep coming back to Monterai with our family, and it’s a great place for kids. Each visit, I notice new improvements. The villas have been renovated, with new beds and bedding, very comfortable mattresses, big terraces, and huge apartments. There’s a king-size bed and two twin beds for the children, plenty of storage, and bathrooms of decent size that have been fully redone. Breakfast is a buffet from 8.30 to 10.30, with a big choice of dairy, deli items, hot dishes, pastries, and fruit. They also have Mother&Baby teas, and help families with small children however they can. The traditional and fine dining a la carte menus have generous portions, and everything we’ve ordered has been tasty and fresh. The hot goulash may be the best we’ve ever had. There’s a kids menu too, and they can provide vegan, gluten-free, and allergen-free options on request. Our daughter doesn’t eat meat, and they adapt her favorite dishes every time. There’s an open-air jacuzzi and a spa pavilion with saunas, a fitness room, a yoga room, and a saline room that’s great for kids with asthma. The yard is large, with a bonfire on weekend nights and on request. Parking is free, and the bus stops right at the gate. A beautiful hiking trail starts behind the villas, and there’s skiing, horse riding, biking, exploring nature, and petting the dogs and cats. The people are kind and gentle, love kids, and go out of their way to help.
