I booked through booking.com for two nights, but the apartment was unbearable. It was supposed to be smoke-free, yet I was told on arrival that the previous guests had smoked there. The whole place reeked of cigarettes, and the heating wasn’t working during winter, so I left after just one night because I couldn’t take the smell or the cold. I contacted the owner and booking.com to ask for at least half my money back since I’d only stayed one night, but they didn’t even bother to reply. If I could, I’d give it zero stars. Horrible experience, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Avoid it if you can.

The location was great, and it was a good price for a quick night. But there was a strong cigarette smell, and the shower had no hot water.

I found the apartment dirty and neglected throughout. There was hair on the pillows and beds, blood on the towels and even the doors, flies and mosquitoes squashed on the walls, gum on the floor, dirty dishes, and cigarette butts in the sink. The shower and showerhead were covered in mold. It felt unhealthy and was truly unlivable, despite the few photos available, so I strongly advise against staying here. The owner was absent and took five hours to respond. Booking.com staff were completely incompetent and made fun of us. Watch out for the reviews there too: they don’t reflect reality, and my review was removed.

I gave it two stars only because of the location, which is right at km0. On arrival there was an unpleasant mold-like smell, and the plaster along the bottom of most walls was peeling or coming loose. The sheets hadn’t been changed and were covered in hair. I asked for fresh ones, but they only changed them from the second day, even though that should have happened automatically. There was soap and shampoo, but no shower gel, probably something someone had left behind. The bed’s oilcloth was torn in places, and the kitchen was a mess, with greasy marks on the stove or whatever it was. We didn’t even dare touch anything. The elevator was in such bad shape it seemed close to breaking down. One morning we woke to find a man from the street sleeping on the stairs in front of the apartment. The apartment door was in poor condition too, like a strong gust could knock it down. I’d only recommend it to someone who wants to sleep at km0 and is willing to put up with freezing conditions and uncertainty.
