The pool was the main good thing for us. The water was clean and pleasant, and I liked that there was a pool for kids too. Food was average at best. The building needs work and is very dusty; at first glance it looks abandoned. Maybe it was once a four-star place, but it feels nowhere near that now, two stars at best. Service was horrible. Staff seemed annoyed by customers and acted as if they owned the place. I asked if someone could open an umbrella for me, and they told me to do it myself. At lunch they were bothered that we paid by card instead of cash, which is absurd. They hadn't given us pool wristbands and tried to charge us again for pool services. When I suggested checking the surveillance cameras, they backed down. We'll definitely never return unless management steps in and fixes the staff problems.

The room card had to stay in for the fridge to work, even while you were in the room. It's 2024, I believe 🤭 The shower drain was nearly blocked, so we ended up standing in the used water 🤭! In the evening my room card stopped working. The only man at reception was asleep on the couches and couldn't reactivate it, so he had to come upstairs and let me in himself. For the price, the service and comfort just aren't worth it.

Breakfast was good, the usual traditional European hotel kind, and there's a supermarket within walking distance. The rooms were comfortable and tidy. The hotel is somewhat remote, though, which could be inconvenient if you're relying on public transport. The biggest problem for us was the WiFi, which was extremely unstable and had a very weak signal in our room.

A beautiful place with very good service. Art and luxury together give it a royal feel!

The rooms were adequate and the air conditioning worked well. Staff were accommodating despite their limited English. It was OK for us since we were traveling south of Bucharest each day. It's far from most amenities, though Auchan, a grocery and general store, is a 15-minute walk away.
