Conacul Coroanei has amazing decor that gives it a grand, opulent feel. It's an upscale boutique hotel in a quiet suburb, about a gentle 30-minute walk from Bucharest Old Town. Adrian, the owner, knows a lot and gave us excellent recommendations. He's also proud of the building's history and its success. It's not the usual kind of place, but I'd highly recommend it.

They refused to cancel even though I asked just five minutes after booking. That felt completely unethical and unprofessional. I came away feeling they just wanted my money. Be careful and avoid this place.

The neighborhood is quiet, and staying here felt like an experience. The place is packed with vintage objects in an eclectic mix that photographs well, though it can tip into kitsch. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable, so I didn't sleep well. Calling it five-star feels exaggerated.
