My only small letdown was a misunderstanding about breakfast. At the rate I paid, which felt on the premium side for Bucharest, I assumed it was included. It actually costs an extra €11. The breakfast itself was excellent, with fresh pastries, great coffee, and plenty of hot and cold options, but clearer wording at booking would have avoided the surprise. Apart from that, my four nights at Leonardo Hotel Bucharest City Center left me genuinely impressed. The room was modern, spacious, and comfortable, with a great bed, powerful shower, fast Wi-Fi, and a nice city view. It’s a short walk to the Old Town, with cafes and restaurants nearby, while still far enough from the busiest streets to be peaceful at night. The staff made the stay memorable. The front desk greeted me warmly, arranged early check-in without hesitation, found me a quiet high-floor room as requested, and surprised me with a complimentary upgrade when one became available. The concierge recommended hidden-gem restaurants, booked taxis, and gave spot-on directions with a smile. Housekeeping kept the room spotless every day and happily brought extra pillows and refreshed the towels later when I asked. The service felt personal, proactive, and caring, some of the best I’ve experienced in Europe. I’d happily return next time I’m in town. With outstanding comfort and service, the hotel more than made up for that little breakfast hiccup. If you’re happy to add the very reasonable €11 breakfast, or find a rate that includes it, this place is a winner. Highly recommended, 4.7/5 stars, basically a five, with just a tiny deduction for my own wrong assumption about breakfast!
