The view from the 21st floor was lovely, and the room was quiet, spacious, very clean, and had a genuinely comfortable bed with excellent pillows. Check-in was efficient and professional. The marble bathroom is traditional in style but well kept. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was good quality, with fresh items, nice croissants, soy milk, and a live station for omelettes and fried eggs. There wasn’t much sweet food beyond pastries. The hotel’s two restaurants serve very good Italian food, including the panoramic restaurant on the 22nd floor, which is open for dinner. The lounge bar has pizza and sandwiches and a TV, but service was quite slow because there weren’t many staff. The spa has a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and gym, though it feels dated and the jacuzzi wasn’t fully working during our stay. The hotel is very central, with the metro and National Theatre just steps away, so it’s easy to explore Bucharest on foot. It’s a good base with comfortable rooms and great city views.

The pool was cold, and the pool area was being cleaned and serviced in the middle of the day while people were trying to relax. The jacuzzi and gym are old but okay. This might have been a very good hotel back in 1990, but it’s pretty run down now and seems like it hasn’t been updated in the past 20 years.

I’d already told the hotel when booking that I needed a late check-out, so I was surprised to be charged €50 for staying just 6 hours longer. I don’t think the fee was justified given that I’d notified them in advance. Please explain why it was added and reconsider the charge. I’d appreciate a prompt reply and a proper resolution.

We weren’t staying at the hotel, just stopped in for breakfast on our way to the next destination. The hotel looked nice, and the buffet had lots of variety and was good. Most of the serving staff were polite and helpful. The main staff member who checked us in for breakfast wasn’t friendly at first. I felt a tingle of racism, though by the end she had warmed up, smiled, and wished us a good day.
