We were ready to go home after a terrible night, but Eduard, Marius, and Mihaela completely changed our experience. Eduard was amazing at reception when we arrived, friendly and helpful with three exhausted, frustrated women. He listened, made us smile, got us checked in quickly so we could sleep, and offered us a room with three beds instead of two. It was fantastic. The trouble started at 9:20 pm, when our apartment was cancelled while we were outside the building. We waited in a Macdonald's and looked around for somewhere to stay. The only option was a hotel, and my friend managed to get us a discount, which helped. In the morning, Marius and Mihaela were really helpful. Mihaela gave my sister great suggestions for our day's plans. When Bolt was trying to rip us off, Marius sorted it out, calmed me down as I was starting to stress, and made us smile. We really appreciated all three of them. Thank you so much.

We were in Bucharest for a business trip, but this hotel fell well short of what I expect from a four-star place. The room was dusty on every table, the towel they gave me on the third day was in poor condition, and there was a hole in my blanket, though they replaced it that same day. The soundproofing was also bad enough that we could hear every step from the room opposite. Service was another disappointment. At check-in, the receptionist was rude and dismissive, and nobody even greeted us. When we called to ask for more towels, since two of us had been given just one large towel, no one answered, despite the website saying reception is open 24/7. For the price, there are better hotels closer to the center. This one didn't match its reviews, and we won't book it for another business trip.

Eduard and Sebastian at the Front Desk were especially kind and professional, and Hemantha from Housekeeping paid close attention to the details that made us comfortable. We found the room immaculate, with a very comfortable bed after a busy day. Check-in was quick, and being able to check out late made a real difference to our stay. We had a wonderful time at Holiday Inn Bucharest and will definitely come back.
