Hostel Formenerg

The location is the one real plus: it's about a 20-minute walk to the center, or one metro stop away. I'd only recommend staying here if you're after somewhere very cheap and close to the center. This definitely doesn't feel like a three-star hotel. The room had an old, communist-style feel, like a student dorm, though bigger and with a TV. It seemed clean at first, but the sheets were dusty and had a piece of someone's toenail on them. The bathroom looked all right except for a mirror dirtier than the walls. There was no soap or shower gel, though at least they provided toilet paper. The minibar, AC, and hairdryer all looked so old that we didn't use them. The walls are so thin we could hear the neighbors talking and snoring at night. The receptionist seemed annoyed that we had interrupted her at the desk. She looked surprised when we said we had a reservation, and when we asked how to get upstairs, she just said, “Well, the elevator,” as though we should know where it was. The building looked like an old public institution converted into a hotel. The room was extremely old too.
