We had to head downtown for dinner since there are no bars or restaurants nearby, though the residential neighborhood itself is quiet. Our room was spotless, including the sheets and towels, and the thick mattresses were comfortable. Everything has been renovated recently in a stylish way, and it felt completely different from what the older reviews might suggest. The staff were polite, helped with our luggage, made an invoice, and gave us free water when we arrived and coffee in the morning. Great for a comfortable night's sleep. I'd recommend it and would return.

Music from the hotel's basement restaurant went on until almost 4am, even though we were promised it would stop at 10pm. We had a 6am flight and were exhausted, trying to sleep with headphones on. At 3:45am I finally went downstairs crying. The night receptionist blamed us for choosing to stay, and offered no help or accountability. In the morning, we got just 50 lei, around 10 euros, back, with nobody really trying to help. This was traumatic. I've never been treated this way at a hotel. Horrible service, a disgusting attitude, and a terrible room. Stay away. Make sure the video is at full volume and hold it close to your ear. This is the music the manager said we “couldn’t hear,” at 4 AM. We'd checked in, paid, and been taken to a first-floor room. The lobby had been eerily quiet, and as we came upstairs all the room doors were open. It was clear we were the only guests. I asked to change rooms because we wanted a bed accessible from both sides. Receptionist Nico said he'd see what he could do, explaining he wanted us on the second floor because of a party downstairs. When I asked what party, he said there was an event in the basement restaurant and assured us we wouldn't hear it. Before we went to the mall on our last day in Bucharest, Nico came upstairs, checked that the room was okay, and said a new room would be ready when we returned. I told him I was worried about noise because we had to get up at 6am. He promised there'd be no problem. We only heard about the party after I asked to change rooms, not when we arrived. Later, the manager claimed Nico had told us at check-in, which wasn't true. She also said we were exaggerating and the music wasn't loud, even though we could barely hear her over it. When we got back that evening, loud music was blaring and the furniture was literally shaking. There were no blankets, no extra pillows despite my earlier request, and a cigarette pack was left on the balcony. I complained at the front desk and was told the music would be turned off at 10pm. Then I went to shower and found there was no bathroom light, so I had to use my phone flashlight. It was 9:30pm. I went back down and showed the hotel manager everything. She apologized and called it a “new team.” I said that wasn't my problem. She said they had blocked bookings on Booking.com because of the wedding and was “surprised” we had managed to book. Her answer was, “Shit happens.” That was the first time anyone had said it was a wedding, rather than just a party. The manager said we could leave and get a refund, but what were two young women in a foreign country supposed to do at 10pm? Why hadn't she called the day before to explain? When we asked for compensation or even a partial refund, she laughed and asked, “If you get money back, will it make the noise stop?” It was dismissive and disrespectful. She then said she'd give us some money and walked away.

I've stayed here many times. The people are excellent, and the rooms are beautiful. I'd highly recommend it.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is fully renovated in a very quiet neighborhood. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, as are the sheets and towels. I'll definitely come back.
