Old Centrum Bucharest

There was no air conditioning in the hot, tiny room, which made summer miserable. I woke after three hours with large and small red bumps on my body, and left right away before things got worse. The bed and walls were covered in bedbugs, including large ones and little larvae all over the bed. I booked another hotel at the last minute, then had to buy skin medicine the next day. For the sake of other people's trips and moods, I strongly advise against staying here.

The area is quiet and calm, and the place was clean, though it's a long way from the old city. This is a small hotel with individual rooms, a good fit for couples. The shared bathrooms have nice interiors. I'd definitely choose it again.

For the price, it's a decent place, fairly close to downtown, with free street parking if you can find a space. The house has five basic but clean rooms upstairs, while the owners live on the first floor. There are no individual AC units in the rooms. Two small shared bathrooms are in the hallway, one with a shower. Guests can use the shared fridge and kitchen, though cooking isn't allowed there, I think to keep food smells out of the living spaces. The staircase to the second floor is steep, so it's not accessible for people with mobility needs.

I had booked five nights but left after just two. I woke up this morning covered in bedbug bites. If that were taken care of, the accommodation would be fine.
