I was happy with the host’s support and quick replies during the six months I stayed in the apartment. It’s in a nice part of Bucharest, near the city center and about a 10-minute walk from the metro. The building is quite old, but the renovated apartment looks nice. It is on the small side, so I’d suggest it for a few days rather than a long stay like mine, and for no more than 1-2 people.

The hosts were friendly and easy to reach, and they responded quickly whenever we had a question or needed something. The flat was cozy and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. It looked just like the pictures. With the park and city center close by, the apartment was ideally placed for exploring. We had an amazing stay and highly recommend it.

Right in the old town, MRG apartments had a really large apartment that felt relaxing and comfortable.

On 14 May I cancelled my booking, and that same day the apartment appeared again on Booking.com at a much higher price than the one I’d booked. I suspect MRG was trying to get a higher rate. They never even had the manners to contact me. I’d booked through Booking.com in April 2025, with all transactions meant to be handled directly by MRG. On 10 May, Booking.com emailed to say payment was due. That day I heard MRG had declined the transaction and was asked to update my card. My bank confirmed there was nothing wrong with it. On 11 May I added my husband’s credit card to our Booking.com account. The next day I was told that card was invalid and the transaction declined. Another email on 13 May repeated the message and warned MRG might cancel the booking if payment wasn’t received. Both banks confirmed our cards were valid. I called MRG twice using the number provided, but nobody answered. I emailed three times and got no response. Booking.com also tried calling MRG and couldn’t get through. Beware, MRG may not honor your booking.

The apartment was quiet and up to a great standard, with the heart of Old Town’s bars and restaurants just a 2-minute walk away. The location was perfect, and the step-by-step directions with photos made getting in easy. We loved our stay.
