Puzzle Hostel

I've spent six nights here over two stays and would happily come back. The staff are very friendly, the beds are comfortable, and the wifi is really fast. The building's a bit old, but that adds charm. The price is hard to beat. My only gripe is that the kitchen needs a better clean. It's still my favorite hostel in Bucharest.

The bunks are steady and comfortable, and earplugs helped me get a good long sleep. There's a kitchen and a shared room with a bar too, where you can talk and have a beer with other guests. I'd recommend it to travelers looking for a cheap place to sleep.

It was cheap and in a great location, but those were the only real pluses. Noise made it hard to sleep, and air came into our room from the smoking area, lingering around head height and near the second bunk. The Google photos also seem a bit outdated, and the bar wasn't operating. You get what you pay for.

CAUTION, BED BUGS. The hostel is conveniently located and the staff were nice, but hygiene was a problem. The sheets didn't cover the whole old, dirty mattress, leaving you exposed even on the top bunk. This was my first night, so I could rule out being bitten somewhere else, and the next day I found a bug crawling on my things. The room for more than 10 people had no windows, so the air quality was poor. The air conditioning only came on after 21:30, and it was still unbearably hot at 8am.
