JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel

The hotel has a grand feel but is still welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Check-in was quick and easy. We booked the two-bed family suite and found it very spacious and comfortable, with great beds, plenty of room to relax, and everything clean. It worked perfectly for a stay with kids. The location is convenient for getting around Bucharest, with major sights not too far away.

The breakfast was a highlight of my stay. The whole team was warm, efficient, and professional, attentive without hovering, and the food was delicious and fresh. The setting was lovely, and service was prompt and high class each morning. Rafida deserves a special mention. I admired the beautiful blue glass she was using and casually asked where I could get one. She surprised me by giving me that very glass. It was a small gesture that meant a lot, and it’s now a treasured souvenir that sits with me every day. Thanks, Rafida, and thanks to the breakfast team for such a lovely start to each day. And the gym! Wow!

The views of Parliament Palace and the newly constructed cathedral are lovely, and make up for being a little outside the city centre. This is one of Bucharest's older five-star hotels and still worth a visit. Crina Mironescu made sure my last two stays were perfectly prepared, and the reception and exec lounge staff made me feel very welcome.

The staff are friendly, kind, and helpful, and the place has that true JW feel. For food, there's JW Steakhouse for what I think is the best steak in town, Cucina for Italian, and JW Bakery for a quick sandwich, good bread, or something sweet. The rooms look elegant and were very clean. Classy and sophisticated.
