Casa Cu Zorele Crit 189

For my September 2024 motorcycle trip through Romania, I stayed one night at “Casa cu Zorele” in Crit. The farmhouse has been lovingly restored, with large rooms, traditional wooden furniture, and a beautiful tiled stove. The married couple hosting us took care of dinner and breakfast, and both meals were excellent. It made for a special overnight stay.

The hosts were really nice and helpful, and meals here are part of the experience. Everything is made on site or sourced from people in the village. The house keeps the old Saxon style, with handsome old furniture and wood stoves that heat the rooms well. The bathrooms are modern, so no worries there. It's one of the best places I've visited. Explore the village and surrounding hills for stunning views of Transilvania.

I bring groups here often as a tour guide, and it's always a pleasure. The restored houses are beautiful, and the couple who run the place treat you like family. The food is amazing, and the breakfast has you looking forward to the next morning. I'd call this one of the best guest houses in the country. It's best suited to adult travelers who can manage without a TV and internet in their rooms. Crit is a delight, still away from tourist crowds, and close to important sights like Sighisoara, Viscri, and Rupea. I definitely recommend it.
