Maybe it suits other people, but it wasn't to my taste at all. We left as soon as we saw the room. There was no reception, and when I came into the building someone called out, “Who’s there?” We'd booked single beds, but the owner questioned why we wanted those instead of a matrimonial bed. The bathroom was out in the hallway. I've stayed in 3-star hotels and guest houses that felt much more comfortable and welcoming than Dor De Bucovina. We left and checked into a 4-star hotel instead. They greeted us with a smile, showed us a few rooms and let us choose, helped with our bags, and had private parking. Sorry if this offends the owner. They can take it personally and stay as they are, or use it as a chance to improve, that's up to them. Good luck with whichever they decide; either is fine with me.

The hosts were great, and the food was delicious. It only takes a few minutes to walk into the centre of Campulung, while the place has everything you need for a stay near the Mountains. I spent almost a week here before an ultra-running race and found the quiet I was looking for. I definitely recommend Pensiunea Dor de Bucovina!

I regret staying here. Behind the friendly smile, there were problems with an unjustified increase on the bill, no clear prices, and previous agreements being ignored. The coffee was awful and priced like airport coffee, and cleanliness was unacceptable. We felt foreigners were charged differently and treated differently, as if it was assumed we had more money and should pay more. Such a shame in this wonderful surrounding area.

We felt very welcome, and the food was delicious. The rooms were clean and the host was very nice. Good value for the price, I'd recommend it.

We only stayed one night, but I'm very pleased we chose Dor de Bucovina. The place is clean and well organised, and lunch was a lovely surprise: the host's traditional dishes tasted amazing. Two dishes and dessert cost only 6 eur. Everything came from their bio garden, which you can see in the pictures. It's a great base for visiting the monasteries in the Bucovina area.
