Roata Faget Inn

We’d been regular customers, so this was especially disappointing. On Saturday, November 8th, 2025, I wanted to take my father out for a rustic lunch for his birthday. I called ahead and a young woman answered chaotically. I said twice that I wanted a table for 2:15 PM; she then told me they weren’t taking reservations and that we could just come because there would surely be a free table. When we arrived at 2:15, three tables were empty, but we were directed to the terrace because the other tables were supposedly reserved. I asked how that made sense if reservations weren’t being taken, and explained we couldn’t sit out in the cold, especially with an elderly person. They reluctantly seated us inside, warning that the table was reserved from 4 PM and we’d need to hurry. I accepted, since it was already 2:40. The woman who served us was polite and quick, and I have no complaint about her. Around 3:30, the same young woman who had greeted us came over with another waitress to ask if we wanted anything else, clearly pushing us to leave. I said we’d already asked for the bill. She kept hovering, then returned and slammed a wooden “Reserved” sign on our table with another customer’s name on it. Completely unacceptable. You shouldn’t chase diners away, especially regulars. The restaurant should train its staff properly and consider replacing the young woman at the bar's reception. Her “good manners” will drive customers away one by one.
