We stayed at the end of October 2022, three families with 6 adults and 5 children. I honestly can't imagine giving this place less than five stars. The house was spacious and quiet, in a really good location, with comfortable beds and roomy bathrooms that had everything we needed. There was also a little garden out back and a barbecue, a nice spot to sit with a glass of wine. The modern kitchen was fully equipped, the TVs were large, the Wi-Fi worked well throughout, and there was a garage plus plenty of parking. You can tell the owner cares about making guests comfortable and wants them to come back. The K Guest House feels nothing like the old-fashioned Mioritic style some guesthouses have. We've all probably had that experience of owners more focused on quick income than on the impression guests leave with. Here it was the reverse, and I’d gladly stay again. The host was great, too. He quietly handed the key to the first family who arrived. There were no rules barked at us, warnings, or checkout inspections. I never met him in person. I paid the deposit and the remaining accommodation cost through Revolut, and came away with a very good impression from our phone conversation. What really showed his honesty was what happened with my six-year-old's wallet. He saves coins from his grandmother, bread change, Christmas money, and so on, hoping to buy a high-performance tablet. There was about 1500 lei in it. He showed his savings to a little girl in our group, then seems to have hidden the wallet under the bed because he didn't want the money to run out. I only learned about it the next day, after I’d already passed Bistrița. I called the host, who found it and sent it by courier, along with the accommodation invoice and receipt. Hats off to him. I highly recommend staying here. If we come back to Cluj-Napoca, I won't look for anywhere else.
